A location estimate

IP locations can be inaccurate, especially on mobile networks and VPNs. Our bundled DB-IP Lite City and ASN databases are from September 2026. Missing data is shown as “Not available”. An ASN organization is not necessarily your retail ISP.

Data sources and privacy

IP lookups use database files hosted with this website, licensed under CC BY 4.0 by DB-IP. Your public IP is read from your connection; if unavailable, the browser contacts ipify. Maps load from OpenStreetMap. DNS queries use Cloudflare DNS over HTTPS. Whois uses the responsible registry’s RDAP service, with RIPEstat as a clearly labeled fallback.

External services receive the information needed for these requests. IPTestor does not add analytics or persist a query history. Hosting infrastructure may retain operational request logs.

Open-source foundation

The application uses React, Vinext and ipaddr.js. Original application code is MIT licensed; database and dependency licenses apply separately. IP lookup has no external geolocation API quota. Hosting, map, DNS and registry services still have their own capacity limits.

What these tools check

This version provides IP lookup, IP registration lookup and DNS record lookup. DNS leak testing, WebRTC leak testing and VPN detection are not implemented.
